Andrew Johnson was born here on December 29th, 1808. He was born in a kitchen, which was part of Casso's Inn, where his father worked. When Casso's Inn was demolished, the Kitchen was preserved and moved into Mordecai Historical Park. A plaque sits on the site of Casso's Inn.
