His grandfather was also a President (William Henry Harrison).
He helped to make trade policies with oversea countries stronger.
The States of Montana, Wasington, Idaho, North/South Dakota, and Wyoming were admitted to the Union during his Presidency.

In the same town where his grandfather, William Henry Harrison was buried, Benjamin Harrison V was born in his grandfather's house on August 20th, 1833. He later moved to "The Point", a brick house. Both homes have since been destroyed. A small sign is now the only thing left on the site of his birthplace.

Benjamin was President 100 years after Washington. His home is now a museum.

Benjamin Harrison died in 1901 from the same disease that had killed his grandfather, pneumonia. Crown Hill Cemetery is the 4th largest cemetery in the United States and is the only cemetery in Indiana listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
